A Corporate Goal in the City Council’s Corporate Plan is to “ensure the economic, social, cultural and environmental development of Cork in a sustainable manner together with our local businesses and communities.”

The City Council will achieve this by:

• Maximising the sustainable economic development of Cork City
• Working with appropriate agencies and organisations
• Promoting Cork City locally and internationally through the Strategic Cork Guide and www.corkcity.ie
• Benchmarking Cork City against equivalent cities
• Developing Cork as an e-enabled City
• Achievement of targets set out in the Cork Area Strategic Plan
