The City Council has prepared a Draft Area Action Plan for the Cornmarket Street area of the City Centre. The Plan sets out a vision for the area, and aims to transform it into a thriving urban quarter. The City Council would like to know what you think of the Plan and the proposals contained within it.
The Plan can be viewed at the following locations:
The Planning and Development Department’s public counter Navigation House, Albert Quay East, Cork.
Cork City Library, Grand Parade, Cork.
Cork Vision Centre, North Main Street, Cork.
In addition, copies of the Plan and an Executive Summary of the Plan are available by post (please telephone 021-492-4086 to request a copy).
Those wishing to comment on the plan should make a formal written submission to the City Council’s Planning Policy Section by 5pm on Friday 1st October 2004.

"Following receipt of submissions the issues raised by stakeholders will be assessed and consideration will be given to finalising the plan. The City Manager intends to report results from the consultation and seek approval for the Plan in October/early November".
