Cork Team Manager, Donal O'Grady, Lord Mayor, Cllr. Seán Martin, Team Captain, Ben O'Connor and County Board Chairman Jim Forbes on the stage of City Hall on the occasion of the Civic Reception for the Cork Hurling Team.
A Civic Reception was held in the the City Hall Council Chamber on Wednesday 17th of October to honour the achievement of the Cork Senior Hurling team who brought the Liam McCarthy cup back to Cork for the 29th time.
The whole panel turned up along with the selectors and officers of the county board. After an address from the Lord Mayor, Cllr. Seán Martin, county board chairman Jim Forbes and team manager Donal O'Grady spoke of the unique bond within this team and that it was a great honour to be accorded a civic reception from Cork City Council which was traditional for All-Ireland winning teams.
