Sage Technology for Business Event

Sage launches ICT Business Makeover Competition

 

The Sage ICT Business Makeover Competition in association with FDS Technology was launched at the Sage Technology for Business Event in Millennium Hall, City Hall, Cork on Tuesday 20 September 2005 at 2.30 pm. The Sage ‘Technology for Business’ event is the first business event within the Connect Cork™ initiative.

 

The competition provides companies with the opportunity to win prizes to the value of €20,000. The winning company will receive an ICT package including Hardware, Software, IT Training and Support. The Makeover Competition is focused on encouraging companies to implement a complete ICT Solution to guarantee their own competitiveness and continued growth.

 

“Sage Ireland is delighted to be sponsoring these important competitions”, explained Liam Mullaney, Managing Director, Sage Ireland. “These sponsorships demonstrate Sage’s commitment to advance ICT and business talent and to support companies with the same goal”.

 

Entry into the competition is free and open to companies with 50 employees or less. Completed entry forms must be received by Tuesday 11th October 2005. Entry forms will be available at the Sage Stand at the Sage Technology for Business event in The Millennium Hall, City Hall, Cork on 20th September 2005 or can be downloaded from www.connectcork.ie from 20th September.

 

A distinguished panel of judges has been chosen to judge the competition including: Councilor Deirdre Clune, Lord Mayor of Cork, Colm Reilly, Partner, PA Consulting, Tim Healy, Head of Finance, Cork City Council, Michael Geary, Chief Executive, Cork Chamber of Commerce and Liam Mullaney, Managing Director, Sage Ireland. Winners will be announced on Thursday 3rd November 2005 in The Council Chambers, City Hall, Cork.

 

“The right mix of information and communications technology and services can help any business dramatically boost productivity”, concludes Liam. “We wish all the entrants the best of luck and look forward to presenting the winners with their prizes in November”.
