Frank served as Lord Mayor of this city in 1990-1991, a year in which Cork celebrated a historic double in Hurling and Football, an occasion he celebrated by the commissioning of a special commemorative Medal.
He was sometimes referred to as the lucky Lord Mayor but as we all know what sometimes passes for luck is simply the completion of a long period of hard work.
He was a tireless local representative and served the people of Cork North East well for many years in what were difficult economic times. Frank always had a keen interest in languages and would no doubt be pleased to see how
He will be remembered fondly by former Council colleagues and members of the public alike. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Marie and family at this difficult time
