Lord Mayor Cllr. Michael O'Connell gave a rousing send off for Children from Cork who are participating as the Cork Community Games team before their trip to Athlone for the National Finals

Every year thousands of children from all over Ireland travel to the National Finals. Previously they have been held in Mosney County Meath. 2009 saw a change of venue and Athlone Institute of Technology was selected as the new home and the finals will be held there between 13 August 2010 - 15 August 2010.
