“60 RPM”CELEBRATING THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF RORY GALLAGHER, CORK GUITARIST, COMPOSER AND MUSICIAN
On Monday, 3rd March 2008 at 7.30 p.m. an Open Public Interview with Marcus Connaughton , blues fan, broadcaster and Gallagher biographer, and acclaimed photographer, Fin Costello, whose photographs featured in the memorable “Homecoming” exhibition held in 2006, was held in Cork City Library
Music on the evening was an acoustic setting of blues material that influenced Gallagher, played by two men steeped in the Blues tradition and iconic musical figures in the Lee Delta Blues Club guitarist Pat Horgan and harmonica player par excellence Joe O’Callaghan accompanied on bass by Ger Horgan percussionist Christy Healy. Admission was free and a large crowd of Rory worshippers were in attendance
