Secretarial services for the Lord Mayor and City Manager

• Arranging Civic Receptions and Mayoral Receptions
•  Town Twinning

Public Relations and Communications

• Promotion of Cork City Council
• Publication of Annual Report, City News, Yearbook and Diary etc.
• Freedom of Information Acts 1997-2003
• Acht Teanga 2003
• Liaising with Media

• Preparation of Corporate Plan
• Preparation of Customer Action Plans
• Gaming and Lotteries Act Administration
• Central purchasing of office equipment and stationery
• Payment of travel and subsistence allowances to members of the City Council
• Acceptance of Tenders
• Internal Audit

• Administration of On Street Drinking Fines
• Managing corporate estate
• Workplace Partnership
• Casual Trading
• Promotion of Concert Hall/Millennium Hall/Exhibition Centre
• Derelict Sites Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs)

Register of Electors & Local Elections

• Compilation of Register of Electors (annual)
• Preparation of Polling Scheme

• Operation of Higher Education Grants Scheme.
