The Water Services Section is divided into the following sections: -
Cork City Council prepared an Assessment of Needs for Water Services Capital Works in January 2004 on foot of Circular L11/03. While assessments of water services needs have been updated at 5year intervals, Sanitary Authorities are being requested to carry out new assessments in 2006 on foot of circular L2/06.
The new assessments will review our needs in the periods 2007 to 2014 and are necessary as an input to the next National Development Plan that will cover this period. These assessments are used by the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, to optimise project selection in further phases of the Water Service Investment Programme.
