Emergency Care In Sport Courses

On the weekends of May 5th – 7th and May 26th-28th, two well attended ‘Emergency Care in Sport ‘courses were held in the Cork University Hospital by the Academy of Emergency Care in Sport in association with Cork City Council’s RAC Dept.

The emphasis of this course relates to potential incidents and challenges in sporting environments. These include land and water based, low and medium altitude, indoor and outdoor, natural and synthetic, formal and informal environments. The target participants are anyone with the responsibility for providing immediate “emergency care” at any sporting event or training. Courses are provided by Paul Allan, Director of Training with the Academy and Senior International Sports Coach.

Additional subsidised courses will be held on request from Cork City based sports clubs by the RAC Dept. For further information on the Sports Care Academy contact Paul Allen on 021 4920141 or 086 8112281 or log on to www.sportscareacademy.com
