Cork City Council’s first SAQ Course will take place on Friday, November 3rd from 4pm-10pm in Cork. SAQ Training is a system of progressive exercise and instruction aimed at developing fundamental motor abilities to enhance the capability of players and athletes to be more skilful at faster speeds and with greater precision. It improves acceleration, speed, fast arm action, footwork, response time and explosiveness.
Cork City Council’s RAC Dept. in association with SAQ Ireland is offering this course at a subsidised fee to Cork City sports coaches and other interested sports people in Cork City. Child Welfare and Protection Awareness Training is a 4 hour course run over two nights from 7-9pm. These courses will be provided regularly by CCC’s SDO around the city for Children’s Officers and/or Designated Officers, sports leaders and other adults involved in the organisation of sport for young people. These courses will help to ensure that as many adults as possible working with children in a sporting environment will be aware of the code of ethics set down by the Irish Sports Council.
