Experience the festive season as A Cork Christmas Celebration, the most loved free festival organised by Cork City Council in association with Bord Gáis Energy, returns to Cork for its forth year. Last year the festival attracted over 140,000 visitors making it Cork’s most successful festival in 2010. It is expected that the festival will attract even greater numbers this year.
City Manager Tim Lucey welcomed the event, remarking “Cork is coming alive with festive cheer. Christmas is a time to share and we offer this freely, as a gift to citizen and visitor alike. Combined with the efforts of hospitality and business sectors, we see these events as underlining that Cork is the centre for culture, tourism and retail in the south of Ireland.’
