Cork Institute of Technology (CIT)

This is a key educational institution offering courses in Science, Computing, Business, Engineering, Art and Music. CIT enjoys a reciprocal relationship with industry in the region. Exchange programmes, industrial job placement and mentored project work are intrinsic to many courses. In return,  the Institute provides contract R&D, postgraduate research programmes and customised training or consultancy services. Genesis Enterprise Programme

CIT runs the Genesis Enterprise Programme - a one-year rapid incubation for start-up businesses. This innovative scheme provides entrepreneurs with office space, up to 50% of prior year income (to a maximum of €38,000), training and a mentor. (www.gep.ie) .
